Today’s smoothie comes from British wellness duo Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley. The sisters have managed to parlay social-media savvy and an obsession with healthy eating into a celebrity status of sorts. They’ve been profiled in Vogue UK and now blog for the glossy; they’ve turned out cookbooks eschewing gluten, grains, and refined sugar (their newest, titled Good + Simple, comes out this April); they’ve even got their own brand of spiralizer. That’s when you know you’ve really made it.

The Love Smoothie
Serves two.

You will need:
1 small/medium beet
3 medium blood oranges
1 medium ripe avocado
1 tablespoon raw honey
Seeds from half a vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup filtered water

To make:
Scrub the beet and slice into quarters; grate if you don’t have a high-powered blender. Peel and halve the blood oranges, removing any seeds. Halve the avocado and scoop out the flesh.

Add the beet, blood orange, avocado, raw honey, vanilla, and water to a blender. Pulse a few times, then blend until smooth.
